The Best of the West Valley

As our gratitude series continues this month, Myers Media is heading west, where open skies and towns that still hold a sense of space.

The West Valley is often labeled as the quieter side of Phoenix, but for filmmakers and photographers, that calm is what makes it special. It’s where time slows down just enough to notice details like the curve of a desert trail, the hum of a small-town street, the unexpected color of tiny green plants after a storm, and stark mountain silhouettes.

At Myers Media, we’ve found that this side of the Valley has its own rhythm and inspires our creativity.

It's hard to beat our desert golden hour.

The White Tanks

The White Tank Mountains tower over the far edge of the Valley, one of the most distinct backdrops Arizona has to offer. When we film here, there’s a sense of scale that’s hard to find anywhere else. The terrain goes from smooth stone to rugged, giving every project a natural drama.

It’s a favorite for outdoor brands and local businesses that want to show their endurance, sense of adventure, or connection to the land. The space speaks for itself, so you don’t have to do much to make it impactful.

Verrado’s Small-Town Feel

In contrast, small towns like Verrado are all about charm. With its neat main street, mountain views, and tucked-away cafés, it feels like a community built around coffee and conversation.

We’ve worked with local teams here who wanted that neighborly energy in their videos—something approachable and real. Perfect for anything from a restaurant launch to a small business telling its story, Verrado has a way of making people feel at home and that translates to the film.

Glendale’s History and Character

Sahuaro Ranch Park is one of those rare places that feels both lived-in and timeless. Its weathered barns, wandering peacocks, citrus groves and old ranch houses offer visual interest and carry a sense of story.

It’s a great spot for clients who want to highlight roots or legacy. The setting has personality built into every detail, from the fences to the faded paint to the vibrant rose garden. It’s a reminder that a place tells its own truth on screen.

And Everything In Between

Further west, Peoria and Goodyear show a different side of the Valley—one that’s growing fast. These areas blend urban energy with open layouts, giving businesses plenty of flexibility for modern, clean visuals.

Peoria’s P83 District brings entertainment, including a variety of shopping and spring training games, for an upbeat energy.

Surprise brings a family-friendly feel with parks and community spaces that make for honest, down-to-earth storytelling shoots. Each city adds another layer to what the West Valley can offer: the kind of everyday beauty that doesn’t need dressing up.

Why We Love Filming Here

Every project we take on starts with a conversation about story, and the West Valley gives us the space to tell those stories honestly. There’s a sense of possibility here, places that still surprise you with their authenticity.

For us, that’s what makes filming across Phoenix so rewarding. Every side of the Valley has its own voice. The West’s speaks a little softer, but it stays with you longer.
